Decoded MCP

A proof of concept: POLITICO's Decoded newsletter as tools an AI assistant can use — search the archive, quote a paragraph exactly, follow a person across issues, and read the newsletter's own analysis. Every answer is the newsletter's own words, with a date and a citation.

To try it, add your personal link as a custom connector:

• Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the link.
• ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode, then Create → paste the link, authentication "No authentication".

Then ask, for example: "What's in Decoded today?", "What has Decoded said about Peter Thiel?", or "Show me the paragraph where Decoded talks about the Meta settlement."
